Grokking The Gimp - An exremely useful book in html format.. It explains every function of our favorite image editor..

http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/grokking-the-gimp/Grokking-the-GIMP-v1.0.tar.gz

It's 26MB so not sure if it's what you need here in the Educator Edition..  Just putting the link here on the suggestion of Didouph..

Good luck,

I'd love to see about adding it into the secondary package as either an imbedded, external link, or as a file (depending on how much space is available for it.
It would be nice to have this, as I have begun to see (around here anyway) where the schools are leaning toward trying to get computer graphics into the art curriculum. Which would be great as it would bring about a generation of young people entering collage (in the graphic arts area) with a head-start of basic knowledge.
So, at least to be added as an option for the secondary package, is a good idea. That way, if these changes take a good foothold, we will be one step ahead. Wink

Nothing yet, done as well as this for InkScape... though there is a manual in the works
Nothing for Xara LX (not for the M$ version either)

This is possibally "the best" I have seen this done before. I remember the manual for Adobe CS2... and realized I could learn to fly a plane via manual faster than I would learn to use illustrator to it's full potential Roll Eyes

I will continue searching... and not at all opposed to anyone else listing something close for either they might come across. Smiley
